Why You Need To Get A Wii

Did you know you can now download games for the Nintendo Wii? This is great news for owners of Nintendo's amazing new system. But what if you don't have a Wii yet? Read on to find out why the Wii is so hard to find, and why you need to get one!

The Nintendo Wii is the most popular gaming system on the planet, the sales figures speak for themselves. So popular in fact, that over Christmas the system was so hard to find, communities formed on the internet to help consumers find stores that had the system in stock.

So why is it so popular? It's not the processing power of the system, that's for sure. In comparison to the other new generation consoles, it is by far the weakest in terms of graphics and processing power.

It's not even the unique motion control system. Although it is a new and exciting way to play games, using the motion controllers is not a requirement of any of the games, and while you see people on the TV ads jumping around their living rooms and swinging their arms about, it is not necessary to play any of the games (although it does make them a lot more fun!) All the games can be played with minimal movement and with just as much skill sitting down on the couch just like every other console.

The real reason the Wii is so popular is Nintendo's move from targeting gamers to targeting non-gamers. The Wii is a fun gaming console, but it's also a great way to get exercise, whether it's playing sports games to custom fitness software available for the system. It's a great way to study and brush up on cognitive and hand-eye co-ordination skills using the variety of 'brain games' available for the system, in combination with the motion sensitive controls. It's a hit at parties and gatherings with the new wave of 'party games', pitting friends against each other in amusing and fun challenges that anyone can pick up and play with no prior knowledge and no gaming experience.

If you were one of the lucky ones to have scored a Wii for Christmas or managed to score one before the seasonal rush, congratulations, you've got many years of quality gaming and media ahead of you. If you still don't have a Wii, it's time to get out and find one. The post Christmas stocks are in, so get out there and get with the new gaming revolution.

Oblivion - A Whole 'Nother World

With the release of the Xbox 360, everyone naturally had high expectations of not just the console itself, but the new array of video games. One video in particular really hit the top, and it happens to be the one I am talking about. Oblivion came out back in 2006, but I didn't get my hands on to it until 2006. Boy did I miss out, the size of the game alone, is amazing, you can walk into practically anything that has doors, which is about every building, you can buy houses anywhere from shacks on the waterfront to a mansion in a city.

Compared the free-roam, the storyline doesn't seem that great, but nevertheless it is still fun, and provides many twists in turns as you fight your way through oblivion, saving the last heir of the empire, sounds kind of cheesy right? Let's face it though, this game didn't get named game of the year by practically every major video-game review website because of its storyline, it was because of what you could outside of the storyline. Just the amount of combinations of your player you can create is outstanding, and what's even more outstanding is the guilds you can join. Each guild gives you different weapons, spells, and other perks, and they each have their own "mini storyline".

Choose your character's destiny, will you be a thief, an assassin, a fighter, a mage, or will choose be all of them? I have played this game nonstop some days, and it became very addicting. If you are like me, you will go through many characters before you find your perfect character, which isn't a problem. If you want to figure out your best suited character, scroll down and click on my player analysis to find the perfect character to you.

If were to only have one game to play with for the rest of the year, I would pick Oblivion, because it consistently amazes me. If you want to buy it, it is now out for PS3, 360, and PC, though I don't recommend the PC version, even though you can use mods and other online PC features.

If you need help choosing your character use my Player Analysis to find the perfect one.
